I don't personally know that much about the mineral wealth of the Elmrisen area. I know that northeastern Willowdark is home to the Ackralaun Dwarves and has many silver mines, but that is Master Smith Brell Ackralaun's lands as Chieftain of that Clan.

As for permits for mining in the vicinity of the Town of Elmrisen, I'd suggest you talk to myself or Guildmistress Aislin in person about membership in the Willowdark Guild of Merchants and Craftsmen, to ensure the support of the Guilds of Willowdark, then talk to Lord Tel'Daarn Ebonwyrm of Elmrisen for specific permission to mine within his lands. The Guilds will ask their normal dues of you (1 gold piece for a weekend gathering), but I cannot say what Lord Tel'Daarn will ask as his share of the proceeds.

Elmrisen was not built because of mineral wealth beneath the soil, it was founded as a strategically located military outpost, but if you find some source of riches you would certainly aid our town with your findings. Beneath the ground I know we have problems with giant ants and some burrowing undead, as fair warning of what lies beneath our soil.

Good luck,

Guild Master Cirin,
Thank ya, fer yer time. I will speak to ya and the Lord when I arrive. I am prepared to give the Guild substantial financial aid. Also, I am willing to give a large portion of my findings to yer local Government and Guilds.

I mine to find new fine gems and find new ways to work with gems and metals. I only ask to keep very unique stones, and just a sample of rare stones. Other than that, I just need a small percentage to make a living.

We will talk more in about one month. Thank ye!
