Hey, there, citizens,

Few things I thought I'd mention.

First off, we found some foul creature was running about, and it dropped a magical item, a staff with no small amount of power.

When we gather in Wayfairer Lodge, you'll find it there. And when we gather in Elmrisen, it will be there.

Now then, in Elmrisen, any citizen that wants to carry it for the weekend should stop by the Sheriffs office and I'll hand it to ye. Assuming you have no criminal record or intent that is! I'll explain how it works to the best of my ability and then you can carry it around and use it for the good of Elmrisen.

We also recovered a magical sword as many of you know. Although it was designated to be carried by one of Elmrisens defenders, this too is not owned by any one person, but an artifact of the town, and will be used to defend the town, not for one persons benifit.

Finally, regarding Lycor.

It pains me to do so, but many of you are enthralled with this vile villain for some reason. I'll be bringing up charges of treason, but I'll do my best to pursuade Lord Tel'Daarn to be merciful. I'll also be reporting my own failure to arrest him and bring him in when I had the chance. I've gotten mush minded and got caught up in talking instead of acting when I had the chance.

Sheriff Darwin,

The Lord Regent has already been made aware of of all matters that involved Lycor this weekend and dealt with them personally. He arrived not long after your departure, and was notified by Lord Ryric and myself of what occurred.

He has chosen to pursue no criminal sanction against any of his subjects or vassals for what transpired, however he did clarify and command that no subject nor vassal of the Crown shall forward negotiate, debate, discuss, nor enter into any kind agreement or truce with him of regardless of circumstances. He was not pleased with what happened, but he was merciful and wise.

He did express great approval and appreciation of your attempt to arrest the infamous outlaw.

After his arrival, he lead us into battle against Lycor and forced him into retreat. It is clear he is greatly weakened, and his final defeat is approaching.
